Pro 3G WiFi

Yachtspot is similar in functionality to a Broadband router you would use at the office, or at home.
The internal interface is Ethernet, which can be shared using a switch and/or a wireless access point.

The external interface uses either a wireless or a mobile client to connect to WiFi hotspots, and mobile base stations.

Yachtspot’s connection to the Internet can be shared between all of the boats on-board laptops, desktops, servers, PDA’s, VOIP phones, mobiles, and any other device that can use an Internet connection.

Yachtspot G3 supports these LTE 4G frequency bands: LTE E-UTRA bands 2100(B1), 1900(B2), 1800(B3), 1700(B4), 850(B5), 2600(B7), 900(B8), 700(B12), 700(B13), 800(B20), 1900(B25), 850(B26), 2300(B30), 2500(B41)

Crew access

Logging on to a WiFi hotspot has been designed to be as simple as possible. To log on, just open a web browser, click to scan, select a hotspot, and connect. See screenshots

To log on to a 4G/3G Mobile network, just open a web browser, enter the connection details, and connect. See screenshots

Administrator only pages

To prevent tampering, and present a less cluttered interface, settings that are only required during the initial configuration of Yachtspot are hidden and locked behind an additional administrator’s password.

Yachtspot’s entire configuration can be simply backed up to, and restored from an XML file.

Case and connectors

Yachtspot’s waterproof case is IP67 rated, made from die cast aluminium, and comes complete with bulkhead fittings.

On the edge of Yachtspot PRO there are five connectors, two antenna, two Ethernet, and one SIM card holder. The Yachtspot 4G+ WiFi has four connectors, two antenna, one Ethernet, and one SIM card holder, and finally the YachtSpot WiFi has two connectors, one antenna, one Ethernet.

We recommend using only LMR 400, or LMR 240 antenna cable.

Power supply

Power to all units is supplied using an AC to DC auto sensing power supply through the Ethernet cable using Power over Ethernet [PoE].

The power supply requires a standard IEC mains lead (not supplied).
